My Philosophy on Wedding Photography

Weddings are expensive. I get that. But I also know (from my own experience as a bride) that the only thing you have after the wedding are your memories and the photography. As we get older:) our memories of the day start to fade. As I look through my wedding photos, it triggers emotions, feelings and actual memories of the days events... things I thought I forgot long ago. I treasure those photos like I treasure the baby pictures of my two sons or the images I have of my grandmother who has since passed.

My style is quite distinct. I love glamour, I love sexy, and I love the intimacy I can capture between two people. I believe my couples deserve the absolute best on their wedding day. I give everything I can and then some. Will you see me lying on the ground in snow to get the perfect angle? Yes. Will you see me sweating from working to get that perfect image? Yes. Will I shout when I get the IT shot? You bet! Will I be fun? Without a doubt yes, I will!  I personally believe that half of my job is providing you with amazing images, but the other half is providing an amazing experience. It's your wedding! You HAVE to have a fantastic time.

I am also known as "the plus size bride photographer" (ack! There, I said it!)...as a plus size gal myself, I understand that sometimes we hate our picture taken. Been there, done that. Through the use of posing, angles and lighting, I strive to provide my clients with stunning visuals of themselves. I actually TEACH other photographers at conventions HOW to photograph the plus size bride! When I see a photo of myself where I look amazing, I am (at first shocked) and then sooooo pleased. I bring that knowledge to all of my brides. Bottom line, no matter what, I make you fall in love with yourself and your images.

So choose wisely my friends. Interview a number of photographers. Trust your instincts. Adjust your budget if you have to in order to get the photographer you want. It matters. You can't redo the day.
